FEDERAL EXPRESS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES RESIGNATIONS OF TWO EXECUTIVES

 MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal Express Corporation (NYSE: FDX) announced today the resignations of Thomas R. Oliver, executive vice president - worldwide customer operations, and Carole A. Presley, senior vice president - marketing and corporate communications.
 Mr. Oliver resigned effective June 21 to accept the position of president and chief executive officer of VoiceCom Systems, Inc., a voice messaging and processing service concern headquartered in San Francisco. Ms. Presley, whose resignation is effective Sept. 1, plans to move to Florida to write and start her own consulting business and will also serve as a consultant to Federal Express.
 Frederick W. Smith, chairman and chief executive officer, said, "It is with regret that I accept the resignations of Tom and Carole, who have been valued members of top management at Federal Express for many years. They were key contributors to many of the company's successes. We are all saddened to see them go, but understand their desire to pursue other interests."
 William J. Razzouk, senior vice president - sales and customer service, will succeed Mr. Oliver upon his departure. Mr. Razzouk joined Federal Express in 1983 as vice president - electronic product sales, became vice president - field sales in 1986, vice president - U.S. sales in 1988 and vice president - U.S. and international sales in 1990 before assuming his current position later the same year. No immediate successor has been named to replace Mr. Razzouk or Ms. Presley.
