SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE FEATURES)--April 2, 2002

Baking aficionados nationwide can not only enter their family recipes to become a Mrs. Fields Mrs. Fields Cookies is a chain of bakeries, located mostly in the United States, founded by Debbi Fields (b. 1956, Park City, Utah). Mrs. Fields and her husband started their business in the late 1970s, opening the first of many retail bakeries in Palo Alto, California, selling  Cookies product, but win a walk-on-role on NBC's #1 rated daytime drama. Entry forms for the baking contest can be found in 450 of Mrs. Fields stores nationwide or online at www.mrsfields.com through April 30 2002. The winning recipe will make its debut in stores October 2002. The winner will also receive a $1000 cash prize for the winning recipe. The promotion, titled, "Winning is Sweet...So Are the Days of our Lives," will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A percentage of sales and an extra 5% of specific product sales from the cookie company's catalogue division, www.mrsfields.com, will be donated to the charity during Leukemia Awareness Month in September, 2002.
