We're gearing up for a fantastic blow-out that'll last all weekend -- Friday through Monday!

You're not too old, you're not too young, and you're not too computer savvy. The California Computer Expo has something for everyone -- young, old, expert or novice. We've got so many things going on, it's hard to mention them all.

Well, OK, just to name a few, there's computer-generated music Computer-generated music is music composed by, or with the extensive aid of, a computer. Although any music which uses computers in its composition or realisation is computer-generated to some extent, the use of computers is now so widespread (in the editing of pop songs, for , the latest and greatest games for kids and adults, zillions of seminars (at least 250), virtual reality, a business hall (just in case you can't loosen up), a Computer Geek (jargon) computer geek - (Or "turbo nerd", "turbo geek") One who eats (computer) bugs for a living. One who fulfils all the dreariest negative stereotypes about hackers: an asocial, malodourous, pasty-faced monomaniac with all the personality of a cheese grater.  Makeover Contest, the Computer Learning Center, a Computer Animation Festival, Kids' Corner (with clowns, Sea World and zoo characters), a computer fashion show and the weirdest software you've probably ever seen.

There's even a computer dating game.

Vent all your pent-up frustration on your competitors in the "Doom" Challenge, which takes place in the all-new Computer Gaming Center. Test your aviation skills as a World War II fighter pilot in the flight simulation booth. Sit in on a few seminars -- learn what the Internet is all about, or find out how to make money with your computer.

Watch live radio and television broadcasts. And, of course, you'll want to visit the Computer Shopping Mall, where you'll find computer equipment, peripherals, materials and supplies -- at the lowest prices of the season.

Mark your social calendar for Aug. 30-Sept. 2, and be sure to get your copy of the Preview and Seminar Schedule. It's available NOW. To attend seminars, you need a Passport -- $25 in advance of the Expo and $30 at the door (if available). Register early to guarantee getting the seminars you want. One-day admission tickets are $7 in advance, $8 at the door, and available through Ticketmaster.
