34 French Hotels Give 2,004 Free Room Nights To Virtuoso Travel Consultant Network For Educational Visits

In honor of the approaching 60th anniversary of the Normandy landing and to bolster tourism from America, 34 of the top luxury hotels in France are providing the Virtuoso network of leisure travel consultants with 2,004 complimentary room nights, surpassing $1 million in value, for Virtuoso's top travel consultants to visit France between now and April 2005. The gesture will enable hundreds of the top travel consultants in the Americas to experience the best of France and refresh their personal knowledge to relay to their clients. With combined annual travel sales surpassing $3 billion, Virtuoso comprises 285 luxury leisure travel agencies with more than 5,000 travel consultants in the Americas, Caribbean and Australia.

Leon Bertrand, Minister of Tourism of France, announced the gift at a recent international Virtuoso conference in Barcelona. "Your professional experience makes you the best connoisseurs for what France has to offer," said Bertrand. "The true professionals that you are . . . you have carried on trusting us. You are the best advocates of this France of luxury and pleasure, as Baudelaire, the poet, would have said. In keeping with the motto of Maison de la France La France was a single that was released by Dutch popgroup BZN in 1986. It is about a man and woman who met and fell in love while in France. , 'Let's fall in love again.'"

At Virtuoso, we believe that boundaries divide, and travel unites. This amazing gift will help bring better understanding and discovery between Americans and the French for generations to come."
