An all-star roster of musicians and singers will come together on Thursday and Friday, March 27 & 28, 2003 at Nevin's Live (1450 N. Sherman Ave.) in Evanston, Illinois Evanston is a city on Lake Michigan in Cook County, Illinois directly north of Chicago, east of Skokie, and south of Wilmette. The city was first settled in 1836, and has a total population of 74,239[1]. Evanston is part of Chicago's affluent North Shore region.  to celebrate the music of Warren Zevon, one of rock and roll's most respected and musicians and singer-songwriters.

Perhaps best known for his 1978 hit, Werewolves of London, Warren Zevon, has long been a favorite among critics and his fellow musicians. In the mid 1980's he teamed up with members of REM to record his hit record, Sentimental Hygiene. He has collaborated with dozens of rock legends including Neil Young, Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, The Eagles, and Jackson Browne. For the past several years he was a regular stand in for Paul Schaeffer on Late Night with David Letterman Late Night with David Letterman was a nightly hour-long comedy talk show on NBC hosted by David Letterman. It premiered in 1982 and went off the air in 1993 after Letterman left NBC when he moved to Late Show on CBS. . His offbeat off·beat

In September of 2002, Mr. Zevon announced he is suffering from inoperable inoperable /in·op·er·a·ble/ (in-op´er-ah-b'l) not susceptible to treatment by surgery.

His influence on new and not so new musicians will certainly be felt over this two-day celebration. Many of Chicago's rock royalty will be participating as well as national and internationally known musicians.
