FEATURE/Delaware Management Holdings Inc. names new president of Delaware Distributors, L.P.: Bruce D. Barton responsible for mutual fund sales, marketing and distribution.


PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1996--Delaware Management Holdings Inc. has named Bruce D. Barton president of its mutual fund arm, Delaware Distributors, L.P., it was announced here Friday by Wayne A. Stork stork, common name for members of a family of long-legged wading birds. The storks are related to the herons and ibises and are found in most of the warmer parts of the world. .

Stork is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Delaware Management Holdings Inc.

Delaware, which is a $30 billion asset investment and mutual fund company, has operated from Philadelphia since 1929 and has an international subsidiary based in London. Barton will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the company's 28 mutual funds. He will replace Keith E. Mitchell, who announced this week that he is leaving Delaware to pursue other interests.

Barton had been senior vice president of operations for Lincoln National Investment Companies, of which Delaware is the largest company. Delaware is a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary
