FDK's Senpai Low Input Voltage POL Converters Deliver Full-Rated Output With No Thermal Derating.

Up to 20A of Available Output Current at 85x Celsius

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- FDK Corporation (TOKYO:6955) announced the latest products in its Senpai Series of non-isolated point of load (POL) converters with the addition of the FPLR05SR75 series of dc/dc converters. Operating from a 2.4Volt to 5.5Volt (V) DC input bus, these converters deliver up to 20 Amperes (A) of output current with best-in-class thermal performance: No derating is needed up to 85 degrees Celsius under natural convection. The Senpai Series dc/dc converters are designed for Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) and Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) applications that require high efficiency, tight regulation, and high reliability in elevated temperature environments with low airflow.

The FPLR05SR75 series converters are offered in 10A, 16A, and 20A output current models, in a 1.30x0.53x0.327 inch (33.0x13.4x8.3mm) SMD package with industry-standard footprint and pin-out. They provide tightly-regulated programmable output voltages in the range of 0.75V - 3.63V DC. All models feature remote ON/OFF, over-current and over-temperature protection, remote sense, and output voltage adjust, and are compatible with standard trim equations.
