) this Thursday will broadcast a public forum on privacy of consumer financial information in an electronic age in real-time via the Internet.

The event, hosted by the FDIC, will be held on March 23, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The Clinton Administration's point person on privacy, Peter Swire of the Office of Management and Budget The Office of Management and Budget (OMB), formerly the Bureau of the Budget, is an agency of the federal government that evaluates, formulates, and coordinates management procedures and program objectives within and among departments and agencies of the Executive Branch. , will discuss the future of privacy law.

Viewers must use either RealPlayer 7 or Windows Media Player Digital jukebox software for Windows from Microsoft that plays a variety of audio, video and streaming formats including MP3, WMA, CD audio and MIDI. Starting with Version 6.2 in 1999, the Windows Media Rights Manager was added for securing copyrighted content. . Both can be installed on computers. To attend in person, space is limited to the first 300 registrants, except for members of the media. The forum will take place at the L. William Seidman L. William Seidman is an American economist and financial commentator.
