FDE to appoint 280 teachers for MTT, TUGT posts.

ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2009 (Balochistan Times) --Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will appoint some 280 teachers for the posts of Matric Trained Teachers (BPS-9) and Trained Under-Graduate Teachers for (BPS-14). Director Colleges FDE, Rafiq Tahir told reporter that the interviews for the candidates of Northern Punjab, AJK and Northern Areas will be conducted on June 20. The interviews will be arranged at Federal Government Model School for Boys G-9/4 and Federal Government Model School for Girls G-9/3 for boys and girls respectively. Elaborating the requirement for the post of Matric Trained Teacher (MTT), Rafiq Tahir informed that the candidates appearing must have qualification of professional teaching course of PTC besides matriculation. While those who obtain intermediate certificate along with qualification of teaching course of CT will be eligible to meet the required criteria for the post of Trained Under-Graduate Teachers (TUGT). The additional qualifications like B.Ed and M.Ed will also be considered during the interviews. The selection will be held through walk in interview as per announced by the federal directorate. The teachers will be appointed while observing constitutional quota reserved for all the four provinces, he said. Rafiq Tahir told that all the necessary arrangements have been finalized for the interviews. We will try to conduct interviews of all the candidates on the same day but if number of candidates exceed, then those who will come from far flung areas will be interviewed on the due date and interviews of the locals will be arranged the next day. The interviews of the candidates from Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP were already arranged at Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar respectively, Rafiq informed. FDE will hold interviews for the candidates of Southern Punjab, FATA and FANA in Lahore on June 25, he said. The results will be finalized after completion of series of interviews and will be announced within three weeks.
