FDA nutrition posters now available online.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition announced that it has posted on its Web site downloadable and printable posters of nutrition information for the 20 most frequently consumed raw fruits and vegetables in the United States. Anyone can download the information and posters including growers, consumers and retailers. FDA is encouraging retailers who sell raw fruits and vegetables to use these posters and participate in the voluntary point-of-purchase nutrition information program. The list of food items with nutrition information reflects the updates published in the Federal Register of August 17, 2006 (71 FR 47439).
