FC Business Systems to Assist in Deployment of Homeland Security Technology Clearinghouse.FAIRFAX, Va. -- FC Business Systems (FCBS FCBS Florida Council of Bromeliad Societies FCBS File Control Blocks ) has been awarded a subcontract to support G&H International Services, Inc. (GHIS GHIS Growth Hormone Insensitivity Syndrome GHIS Geosynchronous High-Resolution Interferometer Sounder ) as the Prime Contractor on efforts serving the Department of Homeland Security Noun 1. Department of Homeland Security - the federal department that administers all matters relating to homeland security Homeland Security executive department - a federal department in the executive branch of the government of the United States (DHS), Science and Technology Directorate (S&T). Under the subcontract, FCBS will assist GHIS in the creation of the Technology Clearinghouse mandated by Section 313 of the Homeland Security Act The Homeland Security Act (HSA) of 2002, Pub. L. No. 107-296, 116 Stat. 2135 (Nov. 25, 2002), introduced in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, created the Department of Homeland Security in the largest government reorganization in 50 years, since the Department of of 2002, and serve the broader programmatic needs of the Public Safety and Security Institute for Technology (PSITEC). The funds awarded to FCBS under this GHIS Contract will support the Department of Homeland Security's mission to deter and respond to acts of terrorism by leveraging web-based technology investments made by DHS, as well as developing new strategies for the dissemination of information, tools, and services related to technology designed to improve the emergency response capabilities of Government, First Responders, and Private Industry.
