FBI starts training Pak officials for prevention of money laundering.

PESHAWAR, November 15, 2009 (Balochistan Times): FBI experts have started special training to officials of Custom, FIA and NAB for the prevention of money laundering while five officials arrived from Peshawar to Karachi to participate in this course. Sources told this agency here on Sunday that twenty-five officers would participate in this meeting and basic purpose of this training is to enhance the skills of those officers to prevent money laundering. Sources told that strict measures have been taken at international level for the prevention of money laundering because money laundering is most important element in strengthening terrorist network as the network could not be destroyed with out prevention of money laundering. Pakistan has taken several steps for the prevention of money laundering and special cells have been established in the secret and investigative departments. Sources also told after all these steps, international community was not satisfy with Pakistan therefore a training course has been arranged to enhance the professional skills of those officers detailed for the prevention of money laundering. It is hoped that after this course, efforts and actions of these officers would be fruitful and money-laundering network in the country would be broken.
