The FBI in July released bank surveillance camera photographs of the robbers.

``They were identified by the public calling,'' said Special Agent Charles Empey.

On Aug. 28, the FBI arrested Delfone Lafayette Goodman, 22, of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. . At the time of his arrest, Goodman was in Los Angeles police custody on an unrelated charge, Empey said. He was being held without bail.

Agents still are seeking Lamont Tyshawn Tarkington, 26, who authorities said kept an automatic weapon, believed to be a TAC-9, pointed at customers and employees, and Michael Bernard Brown, 19, of Los Angeles, identified as the third suspect.

Brown and Tarkington are considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging anyone with information to call sheriff's deputies or the FBI at (805) 948-9399 or (310) 477-6565 and refer to the ``trash can bandits.''

Tarkington, who has lived in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Inglewood and Redondo Beach Redondo Beach (rĭdŏn`dō), city (1990 pop. 60,167), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1892. Tarkington has the nicknames ``L-Mack,'' ``L,'' ``D,'' and ``Mont.'' He also may go by the names of Dontee Levell Jones and Lamont Jones.

Empey said the three men were under investigation on suspicion of committing other robberies in the Los Angeles area.

Three robbers walked into the bank at 2:10 p.m. and announced ``This is a robbery,'' while ordering everyone to lie down on the floor. As one watched over the customers with the assault-style weapon, his companions jumped the counter and began emptying cash drawers A cash drawer is generally a compartment underneath a cash register in which the cash from transactions is kept. As they filled their bags with money, the man with the assault weapon appeared to be communicating with a fourth person using a walkie-talkie, officials said.

The FBI said the men fled in a black 1997 Toyota Camry The Toyota Camry is a mid-size sedan assembled by Toyota in Georgetown, Kentucky; Altona, Victoria, Guangzhou, China and the original factory in Toyota City, Japan.
