The order for software production licenses reflects the qualification and approval of FATS embedded training software for use on more than 1,000 U.S. Army Stryker armored vehicles. Strykers are armored vehicles that combine firepower, battlefield mobility, survivability sur·viv·a·ble adj. 1. Capable of surviving: survivable organisms in a hostile environment. 2. The FATS simulation software will reside on a computer in more than 1,000 new vehicles, allowing the crew to switch into training mode. The vehicle then serves as a simulator, as scenarios play on interior displays and the crew engages the virtual enemy as if it were live.
