The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of her next of kin next of kin n. 1) the nearest blood relatives of a person who has died, including the surviving spouse. 2) anyone who would receive a portion of the estate by the laws of descent and distribution if there were no will. (See: descent and distribution), was killed instantly when her SUV was hit after pulling away from the stop sign at 45th Street West, officials said. ``The SUV slowed down but didn't come to a complete stop, and the dump truck broadsided the SUV,'' said Deputy John White of the Lancaster sheriff's station. The crash occurred just after 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. Avenue N was blocked to traffic for about three hours after the crash. The silver Toyota 4Runner had been traveling south on 45th Street West and slowed but didn't completely stop for the stop sign at Avenue N, witnesses told deputies. The SUV rolled into the intersection in the path of a westbound Peterbilt dump truck. The dump truck didn't have a stop sign and was traveling about 55 mph. ``Speed's not a causal factor in this,'' White said. ``Witnesses estimated the driver of the dump truck at about the speed limit.'' The dump truck driver spotted the SUV and locked up his brakes but couldn't avoid the collision. Nearly 100 feet of skid marks led to the crushed Toyota that came to rest on the southwest side of the intersection and the dump truck that stopped just a few feet from the Toyota. Sheriff's traffic investigators had the intersection blocked for about three hours while they took measurements, gathered relevant information and talked to witnesses.
