FARMERS GROUP GRANTS HONOR TO TWO TEENS.Byline: Daily News LANCASTER - Two Lancaster teens received the highest degree given by the Future Farmers of America at the 78th National Future Farmers of America Convention in Louisville, Ky. Sarah Denise Bromiley and Lindsay Marie Castillo, both members of the Lancaster FFA FFA free fatty acids. at Antelope Valley High School Antelope Valley High School is located in Lancaster, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. It was founded in 1912[1]. It is located in the Mojave Desert. , received the American FFA Degree for their demonstration of leadership ability and achievements in agricultural business, production, processing or service. Of the nearly half-million FFA members, only 2,900, or about half of one percent, are so recognized. To be eligible for the degree, members must have earned and productively invested $7,500 through a supervised agricultural experience A supervised agriculture experience, or SAE, is required before obtaining a Chapter FFA Degree for the National FFA Organization. An SAE can be anything from raising livestock at your school farm, or a plant project. in which they start, own or hold a professional position in an existing agricultural enterprise, as well as demonstrating outstanding leadership and community involvement. Bromiley, daughter of Wayne and Debra Bromiley of Mojave and Deborah Bromiley of Lancaster, raised steer, pigs and lambs as well as working at Akal Animal Hospital. Castillo, daughter of Jose and Diana Castillo of Lancaster, raised steer, pigs, lambs and rabbits. Both credited their FFA adviser, Cindy Nelson Cynthia "Cindy" Nelson (born August 19, 1955) is an American former alpine skier from Lutsen, Minnesota. She always stuck in and kept pushing us until we had accomplished our goal.''
