FARGAS TO ANNOUNCE COLLEGE NEXT WEEK.Byline: Daily News Justin Fargas will announce his college choice at a press conference next week, his father Antonio Fargas confirmed Wednesday. Fargas, Notre Dame's record-breaking running back, has narrowed his choices to UCLA, Michigan and USC, according to his father. Antonio Fargas said the press conference will take place at either Notre Dame or City Walk at Universal City on Tuesday or Wednesday. ``That's the plan right now,'' the elder Fargas said. ``At one point we were thinking about Saturday, but it's been pushed back.'' -- Vincent Bonsignore Granzow to Tennessee: Moorpark College linebacker Judd Granzow has committed to Tennessee, he announced Wednesday. Granzow, a small-schools football and baseball legend at Faith Baptist High, signed with the Dodgers in 1994 but quit after one minor-league season to dedicate himself to football. ``I'm excited and really fired up,'' said Granzow, a 6-foot-4, 235-pounder who was Moorpark's MVP. ``I just think Tennessee is the best football program around.'' Granzow, who will enroll as a sophomore, said he probably will play defensive end. ``The timing is right because both starters are graduating,'' said Granzow, who chose Tennessee over UCLA, California and Arizona. Faith Baptist athletic director Jeff Brown said Granzow will be the school's first alum to play major-college football. -- Gerry Gittelson Falcons honor Goffredo: John Goffredo, who retired last season after coaching the Crescenta Valley boys' basketball team to a 313-181 record and 16 Southern Section playoff appearances in 18 seasons, will be honored between the Falcons' boys' and girls' basketball games against visiting Hoover on Friday night. Goffredo, one of only three coaches the Crescenta Valley boys' basketball program has ever had, followed Ed Goorjian, who went 328-103 from the time the school fielded its first varsity team in 1963 until 1978. Both men produced Southern Section finalists. Huskies, Allen hit 50: Coach Rich Allen's No. 4-ranked North Hollywood Huskies won the school's 50th consecutive Valley Pac-8 League girls' basketball game, defeating Reseda 78-35.
