FANNIE MAE ISSUE DEBENTURE REDEMPTION

 WASHINGTON, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) (NYSE: FNM) announced that on July 15, 1993, it will redeem all $200 million of outstanding Series CB-1996-A, 8.45 percent debentures due July 15, 1996. The debentures were originally issued on July 24, 1989. The redemption price of the debentures will be 100 percent of the principal amount redeemed, plus accrued interest thereon to the date of redemption.
 Fannie Mae is a congressionally chartered, shareholder-owned company and the nation's largest investor in home mortgages.
