``The Parents' Guide to the Information Superhighway: Rules and Tools for Families Online'' is a new publication by the Children's Partnership in conjunction with the National PTA and the National Urban League, providing a simple introduction to parenting in an online world, and rules and tools to help children and families at home, school and in the community. Youth Exchange Service, Inc. seeks area families to host youths ages 15-18 from around the world for the next academic year. The students are proficient in English, have medical/accident insurance and receive spending money from their parents for their stay in the U.S. For more information, call (800) 848-2121, Ext. 23.

``Communication Techniques for Effective Parenting'' is a seminar covering verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, active listening, and how to feed back what the child says to ensure clarity of understanding, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. March 27. YOUTH

A community Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of North Hollywood, will include the free hunt and games for children through grade 6, beginning 10 a.m. March 29 at 5000 Colfax Ave., North Hollywood. (818) 766-8103.

Glendale Parks, Recreation & Community Services Division is offering beginning and intermediate youth tennis instruction beginning March 31. Each program is 8 weeks in duration, with classes lasting 50 minutes. Fee: $30 per class. Registration must be completed by March 28 in person: 9 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, 613 E. Broadway, Room 120, Glendale; 2 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Clark Community Center, 4747 New York Ave., La Crescenta.
