FAMILIES TOAST L.A.'S NEWEST ADDITIONS KAISER DELIVERS FOUR COUNTY FIRSTS.

Byline: DANA BARTHOLOMEW Staff Writer

For the first babies ushered into the new year on Monday, 2007 promised to be a most blessed year.

As the new year spread across the globe, families toasted the earliest bundles of joy.

``I was really trying to hold off till 2007 -- seven is a biblical number for God,'' said Marnie Lyes, 33, of North Hollywood, beaming over the first twins born in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County.

At 12:22a.m., Gacia Alice Hazarabedian first opened her eyes at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills as a 7-pound, 4-ounce girl born of Andre and Maral Hazarabedian, 34, of Northridge.

The infant girl, trussed in a pink rabbit frock, was the Valley's first new baby.

``For me, it's a miracle It's a Miracle was a television show that aired on PAX-TV (now Independent Television) between September 6, 1998 and September 1, 2004.[1] Initially hosted by Richard Thomas[2], and later by Roma Downey, [3] ,'' Andre Hazarabedian, 35, said of his daughter, born on New Year's Day New Year's Day, among ancient peoples the first day of the year frequently corresponded to the vernal or autumnal equinox, or to the summer or winter solstice. Perhaps.

At 7:53a.m. and 8:06a.m., Kendell and Kamari Hollis, 7pounds, 5ounces and 5pounds, 8ounces, respectively, were born at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City of Lyes and Brian Hollis of North Hollywood.

The boys, balanced like trophies in their mother's arms, were the county's first twins.

``Happy ending,'' said Debbie Ruiz, charge nurse at the Family Center Care, of the normal and C-section deliveries.

``Both are doing well. Both are beautiful baby boys. We welcome them into the new year.''

The couple will soon care for the newborns in their master bedroom.

``We're going to be all big one warm happy family in one room,'' said Brian Hollis, 37, a real estate loan broker. ``I'm sweating already.''

``I'll feed 'em, you burp burp

'em,'' Lyes Hollis added, ``and maybe we can get back to sleep.''

Standing proud at the back of the room was Morgan Lomax, the boys' big brother.

A baseball player, he vowed to teach them to rule the diamond.

``I am happy,'' said Morgan, 9. ``I will stand up for them and coach them.''

Across the Valley at Kaiser Woodland Hills, three generations of Hazarabedians gloated over tiny Gacia Alice.

Her mother, who turned 34 the day her daughter was born, could barely express her joy. The year 2007, parents said, would be especially auspicious aus·pi·cious

 for their New Year's baby.

``It's one-in-a million,'' Andre Hazarabedian said. ``I can do New Year's holiday, my wife's and my daughter's birthdays, all at the same time.''

``She is blessed,'' Maral Hazarabedian said, cradling her first-born amid a sea of roses as family members passed out chocolates.

``I think seven is a lucky number -- the world was built in seven days.''
