The fair will open its 11-day run at 4 p.m. today at its 135-acre west Lancaster fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground. , 2551 W. Ave. H, with the theme Wildflowers and Wild Fun. Fair admission is $8 for adults and teens; $5 for children ages 6-11; and $5 for seniors over 62. Active-duty military personnel with military identification will be admitted free, as well as children under 6. Parking is $5. Today only, free admission will be offered to "early bird" fairgoers who arrive between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., and to active military dependents with valid IDs from 4 p.m. to midnight, as part of the fair's Operation Home Front Appreciation program.
