FAEGRE & BENSON EXPANDS EMPLOYMENT ERISA, AND LITIGATION LAW CAPABILITIES IN DENVER WITH SIX NEW LAWYERS

DENVER, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Denver office of Faegre & Benson law firm is expanding its employment, ERISA, and litigation practice with the addition of six experienced litigators.
Dirk deRoos and Elizabeth MacDonald join Faegre & Benson as partners. Matthew Nelson, Michel L. Glawe and Arthur Woodward are new associates, and Jo Frances Walsh is now of counsel. All six were most recently with Dixon & Dixon in Denver.
"The addition of six talented lawyers with substantial employment, ERISA and commercial litigation experience will broaden and strengthen our capabilities in those areas," said Carl Eklund, a senior partner with the Denver office of Faegre & Benson. "The talent and experience level of our employment law and ERISA litigation practice is certainly unmatched in the Denver area. We are pleased to offer this enhanced capability to our clients."
With more than 20 years experience as a trial lawyer, deRoos' practice is divided almost equally among employment/ERISA, insurance and commercial litigation.
MacDonald has 11 years of litigation experience and her practice emphasizes employment and ERISA related issues and other business and commercial litigation.
The 3 associates and Walsh also have a number of years experience with MacDonald and deRoos in employment and ERISA litigation.
In addition, Nelson's litigation practice includes substantial amounts of insurance litigation.
Glawes was a judicial clerk for the Colorado Court of Appeals under Judge Leonard P. Plank.
Woodward practices bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Prior to beginning his legal career, he served six years as a captain in the United States Air Force.
Walsh clerked for U.S. District Judge Richard P. Matsch and taught at C.U. Law School in Boulder, Colo.
Founded in 1886, Faegre & Benson has 300 attorneys at offices in Denver; Minneapolis; Des Moines, Iowa; Washington, D.C.; London; Frankfurt, Germany; and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
