FACTBOX-Military deaths in Afghanistan


Feb 27 (Reuters) - Two Polish soldiers died and one was wounded on Tuesday when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb near their base in southeastern Afghanistan, the defence ministry said in a statement on its Web site.

Last week a British Royal Marine was killed in an explosion while on patrol north of Sangin in Helmand province, the Ministry of Defence reported.

More than 200 foreign troops were killed in Afghanistan in 2007.

Here are figures for foreign military deaths in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in 2001:
