DAVIS A NEW North West arts partnership has been awarded major funding to create a new crossregional festival. Liverpool's FACT will join with Cornerhouse, in Manchester, and Folly in Lancaster to run the new cinema and digital culture themed event. It will form part of the We Play project, the North West's cultural legacy programme for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The Abandon Normal Devices (AND) festival will receive pounds 200,000 from the Legacy Trust UK for each of the four years running up to 2012. FACT director Mike Stubbs said: "Having the opportunity to work across the region, which is vast, but with some really key partners in a meaningful way on a new project is fantastic."
