 FABRI-CENTERS ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS
 CLEVELAND, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fabri-Centers of America, Inc.


(NYSE: FCA) today announced three executive promotions.
 Richard Grice is now senior vice president-logistics and physical distribution. Grice was formerly vice president in the same capacity. Over the past two years, he has been responsible for the successful relocation and consolidation of distribution and warehousing operations to the company's Hudson, Ohio, headquarters. Grice has been with Fabri-Centers since 1988.
 Frederick Johnson is now senior vice president-management information systems (MIS). Since joining the company in December 1989 as vice president of MIS, Johnson has been heavily involved with the development and implementation of Fabri-Centers' strategic systems plan. Over the next three years, an increasing amount of company resources will be devoted to MIS as merchandising and store systems become more fully integrated.
 Barbara Hudson is now vice president-strategic planning and administration. In her new capacity, Hudson is responsible for the development of the company's long-term strategic plan and the annual operating planning process. In addition, her duties include investor relations, community relations and corporate contributions. Hudson joined the company in 1983.

 Fabri-Centers operates 664 fabric stores in 38 states, primarily under the name Jo-Ann Fabrics, and 29 Cargo Express housewares stores in Ohio and Michigan.
