Angus Fire has developed an operational fluorine-free foam (F3), Syndura, specifically for the aviation sector. Syndura has so far demonstrated outstanding fire fighting fire fighting, the use of strategy, personnel, and apparatus to extinguish, to confine, or to escape from fire. Fire-Fighting Strategy

Fire fighting strategy involves the following basic procedures: arriving at the scene of the fire as rapidly as
performance in a series of simulated aircraft crash fires carried out by the British Ministry of Defence fire service. On a fully involved 280-sq/m fire involving 2500 litres of aviation fuel, Syndura achieved complete extinguishment in only 50 seconds. The new F3 is approved to International Civil Aviation Organisation Level A performance, is listed by Underwriters Laboratories Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is a U.S. not-for-profit, privately owned and operated product safety testing and certification organization. Based in Northbrook, Illinois, UL develops standards and test procedures for products, materials, components, assemblies, tools and  for use with portable and fixed foam-making equipment and meets the requirements of the new EN 15683:2000 European foam standard.
