F-22 begins northern ops.

Elmendorf Air Force Base Alaska recently marked the commencement of
Lockheed Martin's F-22 Raptor operations in the Pacific region.
90th Fighter Squadron has become the fifth home of the Raptor, with
Edwards, Tyndall, Nellis and Langley Air Force Bases being first online,
and Holloman, New Mexico and Hickam in Hawaii to follow suite. 106 F-22
aircraft have passed final assembly at the Lockheed plant in Marietta,
Georgia and of those a total of 99 have been delivered, out of a planned
183. The F-22 has been in service with the US Air Force since December
2005.
