It publishes nearly 60 magazines titles and has 3000 books in print in a variety of areas, including antiques, automotive, fine art, games, gardening, crafts, comics, graphic design, toys, writing and photography. Consumer magazine titles include "ID Magazine," "Family Tress," "Writer's Digest" and "Popular Woodworking," among others. The company's Construction division produces three trade magazines, including "Rural Builder," "Metal Roofing" and "Frame Building." Other trade magazines published by F+W include "Comics & Games Retailer," "Card Trade" and "Blade Trade," as well as "Print" and "How" for the graphic design industry.

Company divisions include Adams Media (Avon, MA), acquired in 2003, and Krause Publications (Iola, WI), purchased by F+W in June 2002 for $120 million. At the time, Krause produced 46 periodicals, 15 hobby shows and 750 reference books for the antiques, arts & crafts, construction, comics, firearms, old car, outdoor, sports, stamps and toy sectors. New company management also acquired "Horticulture" and "Print" magazines in 2002, "Pastel Journal" in 2003 and "Scuba Diving Magazine" and "Country's Best Log Homes" in 2004. All of the trade magazines, excluding the graphic design magazines, are former Krause titles.
