Eyewear retailer to move to Shops at Columbus Circle. (Retail New York).


A major new Westside flagship for one of New York's premier eyewear retailers, MORGENTHAL FREDERICS, will be located within The Shops at Columbus Circle The Shops at Columbus Circle is an urban shopping mall in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan, New York City — a complex of skyscrapers that was completed in 2003. It is located at Columbus Circle, next to the southwestern corner of Central Park. , the retail component of AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  Time Warner Center The Time Warner Center is a mixed-use skyscraper developed by The Related Companies in New York City. Its design, by David Childs and Mustafa Kemal Abadan of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, consists of two 229 m (750 ft) towers bridged by a multi-story atrium containing upscale retail , the mixed-use complex that is now rising at Columbus Circle. MORGENTHAL FREDERICS is a respected leader in optical service, eyewear, sunglasses and accessories.

Adjacent to stores for L'Occitane and FACE Stockholm, the MORGENTHAL FREDERICS store will occupy approximately 400 SF on the ground level of The Shops at AOL Time Warner Center. The store will be an important addition to their other Manhattan locations and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2003.
