The association was founded in 2004 and incorporated in 2005. Current FOA member companies include: AMI Semiconductor, Cypress Semiconductor, Delphi, Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, International Rectifier, Intersil, Jazz Semiconductor, MagnaChip, Micrel Semiconductor, NXP NXP Next Experience (formerly Philips Semiconductors)  Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, Spansion, and ZMD ZMD Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden (German chip manufacturer)
ZMD Zentralstelle für Maschinelle Dokumentation
ZMD Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (Center for Art and Media Technology) 
 AG, as well as an additional twenty five associate members.

Eyelit's vice-president of sales and business development, Dan Estrada will speak next week, January 18th, at the upcoming FOA Quarterly meeting to be held at ON Semiconductor in Phoenix.
