ORLAND PARK, Ill. -- Stafford, Texas-based Coban Research and Technologies, Inc. announced it has successfully integrated EyeNet Enforcement Systems, Inc.'s powerful automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) software into its own TopCam complete in-car video and data communications system. This breakthrough partnership of technologies gives police officers operating Coban video-equipped patrol cars a solution that automatically scans for vehicles on the road, identifies and reads license plates using the Coban camera and recording system, automatically checks the plate number against police department databases and alerts the officer when there is a match to wanteds, Amber Alerts, stolen vehicles and more.
