Eye problem forces Karlsson out of Open


A persistent eye problem forced Sweden's 2008 European number one Robert Karlsson Robert Karlsson (born 3 September 1969) is a Swedish golfer who plays on the European Tour.

Karlsson was born in St. Malm, Sweden. His father was a greenkeeper. He turned professional in 1989 and qualified for membership of the European Tour at the 1990 Qualifying School.
 to withdraw from next week's British Open on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old - a two-time winner on the European tour last season and a top eight finisher in three of the four majors - has not played since the European Open Sporting events called the European Open include:
