Eye on First Ave.

The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, vice chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, managing director of Garrick-Aug Worldwide, Ltd., has arranged the leasing of 1199 First Ave. to Optique by Lenscrafters for its Manhattan flagship.

Formerly Pacifica Restaurant, the property includes 1,775 s/f of ground level space, plus storage. The lease term is for 10 years. The Garrick-Aug team represented the landlord in this transaction.

"Lenscrafters was the first to present vision care and eyewear in one location," said Ms. Consolo. "The successful company was acquired by Italian eyewear giant, Luxottica S.p.A., in 1995 and since then, has become first in U.S. sales and worldwide optical volume.
