Eye hate sunshine.
Q THE sun always bothers my eyes, forcing me to squint. I don't want to wear sunglasses as I look stupid. But will the glare damage my eyes?
A YES. Glare will cause chronic inflammation to the white of the eyes exposed to the sun's rays. This can lead to the build-up of scar and fat tissue, known as a pinguecula. They are not harmful but can get inflamed and itchy. Hhigh-quality sunglasses prevent this - if it's good enough for movie stars, such as Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in the Thomas Crown Affair, it's good enough for you!
