ExxonMobil Upromise Summer Promotion to Offer 500 $250 Contributions as College Savings.

There is some light manufacturing. , Va. -- ExxonMobil, the official fuel provider of Upromise -- the college savings service -- will award $250 to 500 winners this summer through its "ExxonMobil Upromise Summer Promotion." Upromise is the country's largest non-governmental service helping families save for college through their every-day purchases with hundreds of participating companies.

Beginning June 1 through August 31, all Upromise members who make a gasoline gasoline or petrol, light, volatile mixture of hydrocarbons for use in the internal-combustion engine and as an organic solvent, obtained primarily by fractional distillation and "cracking" of petroleum, but also obtained from natural gas, by  purchase at an Exxon or Mobil station with a credit or debit card debit card, card that allows the cost of goods or services that are purchased to be deducted directly from the purchaser's checking account. They can also be used at automated teller machines for withdrawing cash from the user's checking account.  registered with Upromise will receive one entry into the "ExxonMobil Upromise Summer Promotion;" however, no purchase is necessary to enter the promotion. Anyone who follows the "alternative means of entry" process will also be entered in the promotion.

Winners will be selected through a random drawing to be held on or about October 15, 2005. Winners will be notified approximately four weeks following the close of the promotion. Due to state law restrictions, residents of Virginia Virginia, state, United States

 and New Jersey are not eligible for the promotion. Gasoline purchases in those four states will not count as an entry in the promotion.

ExxonMobil has been affiliated with Upromise since 2001 and has contributed more than $14 million toward college savings for Upromise members. In addition to this promotion, ExxonMobil also offers customers who are Upromise members the opportunity to save for college year-round when they buy gas at Exxon and Mobil locations.
