ExxonMobil Exxon Mobil Corporation or ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM), a multi-national American corporation and a direct descendant of John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil company[2]  Chemical announced a major expansion of halobutyl manufacturing at its plant in Baytown Baytown, city (1990 pop. 63,850), Harris co., S Tex., at the head of Galveston Bay, on the Houston ship channel; inc. 1948 after the consolidation of Goose Creek, Pelly, and Baytown. , TX. The facility will increase capacity to produce Exxon bromobutyl rubber by 60% by modifying existing equipment and adding new equipment. Construction completion is anticipated during the second quarter of 2008.
