ExxonMobil Chemical completes AES acquisition. (Acquisitions, Expansions).


ExxonMobil Chemical, Houston, TX, has finalized the acquisition of Advanced Elastomer Systems, significantly expanding the company's global ethylene elastomers portfolio. Earlier this year, ExxonMobil announced plans to acquire Solutia's 50% interest in AES. AES, formed in 1991 as a limited partnership between ExxonMobil Chemical and Solutia, is headquartered in Akron, OH, and has annual sales of approximately $300 million.
