LLC - Logical Link Control , Houston, TX, has signed an agreement with Huntsman Petrochemical (U.K.) Ltd. to license ExxonMobil's tubular process technology for Huntsman's new world-scale low density polyethylene Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic made from oil. It was the first grade of polyethylene, produced in 1933 by Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) using a high pressure process via free radical polymerisation [1]. (LDPE LDPE abbr. low-density polyethylene ) plant. The 400 kta plant, to be built in Teesside, England, will be the world's largest LDPE reactor. Work on the facility is expected to be completed in late 2007.
