Extension for gag retractor.

Positioning a barrel-chested person for oral surgery may be difficult when using standard medical equipment--namely, connecting a mouth gag retractor to a Mayo stand. Dr. Dedo of CANT Corporation has developed a simple, yet effective solution--an extension that makes oropharyngeal surgeries easier using existing retractors.

The Dedo Extension, a simple metal instrument measuring 15 cm long, hangs from an elevated Mayo stand and attaches to the mouth gag retractor. The added space ensures that the gag retractor and the mouth of the patient line up, making the surgery easier and mere comfortable for both patients and doctors.
