Exquisite's St. Lucia vision backed by $75m in construction funds.


Pascal Mahvi, founder of Exquisite Caribbean Resorts, an international real estate and resort development firm, and CFMB CFMB Cedar Falls Municipal Band (Cedar Falls, IA)  Holdings Inc announce the execution of a commitment letter, formalizing CFMB's intention to provide construction financing totaling $75 million for the development of The Jalousie Enclave, a premier residential resort community located in Jalousie Bay's World Heritage Site in St. Lucia.

Mr. Mahvi, developer of the world-renowned Jalousie Plantation Resort & Spa, will develop an exclusive residential resort community on Jalousie Bay, in the heart of the Val des Pitons.

The Jalousie Enclave will be the only full-time residential development on Jalousie Bay and will be the first "green" resort to be built in a designated World Heritage Site.

) in 2004. The 196-acre property is nestled in the Val des Pitons, on the edge of a pristine rainforest, overlooking the stunning turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Coral reefs cover almost 60 percent of the UNESCO site's coastline. A protected marine park in the waters of The Jalousie Enclave's beach offers some of the Caribbean's most amazing snorkeling and diving.

All structures at The Jalousie Enclave will be built to the United States Green Building Council's highest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction.  (LEED) standards ensuring the preservation of the area's protected natural resources. Each elegant residence can be customized according to individual preferences and requirements. Homes will showcase a high degree of craftsmanship and feature local materials.

Properties will be sold freehold and owners have the option to rent or re-sell with no restrictions.
