Express Rationalize Dairies.Express Dairies Express Dairies is a subidary of Dairy Crest that specialises almost only on home delivery. It was formed in the 1980s. During the late 1990s it was losing money and subsequently sold it's milk and delivery services to Dairy Crest in July 2006. are closing two of the dairies they acquired in June as part of their purchase of Glanbia's liquid milk operations. Bottling of the milk for doorstep delivery will then be transferred to their dairies in Wakefield and Liverpool, to utilize spare capacity at these two sites, and production of milk in non returnable containers is to be transferred to their Manchester and Liverpool dairies. This will primarily use existing capacity but a small investment is being made in their Liverpool dairy to expand the range of non returnable containers used there for the small shop and catering sector. |
