MD Dictate PC is a PC-based, speech-enabled medical documentation system that helps medical professionals save time, increase revenue and cut costs while controlling the entire medical transcription process. Speaking normally, physicians use MD Dictate PC to create, edit, sign and dispatch patient notes, medical records, prescriptions, and referral letters on a personal computer without touching anything except a speech microphone. MD Dictate PC uses customized documents, called templates that are instantly modified with simple verbal commands. Additionally, the system supports a vocabulary of more than 250,000 words, including specialty-specific medical vocabularies containing medication names, medical procedures, diagnosis, diseases and more. Used together, templates, macros and specialized vocabularies allow accurate, detailed dictation to be completed in seconds. Since documents are instantly available, up-to-the-minute patient reports can be automatically faxed or emailed to a referring physician in seconds, without the cost, errors or delays of traditional medical transcription.
