Conference session to focus on growth via the Web

The new emerging market is in space--cyberspace, that is. Entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to explore the possibilities of doing business online at the Fifth Annual Black Enterprise/Bank of America Entrepreneurs Conference--to be held May 10-14, 2000, at Disney's Contemporary Resort Disney's Contemporary Resort is located at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company, first opened October 1, 1971, at which time it featured state-of-the-art facilities.  in Lake Buena Vista, Florida Lake Buena Vista is a city in Orange County, Florida, United States. It is mostly known for being home to the Walt Disney World Resort. The population was 16 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 15. . Themed "Smart Moves--Leveraging Power, Wealth and Influence," the emphasis will be on business growth.

A session entitled "E-Commerce: Using the World Wide Web to Grow Your Business" will look at how business owners can take advantage of this strategic medium for product sales and marketing, professional job recruitment and more.

The session will focus on how to incorporate e-commerce into your strategic business plan and address issues such as exceeding the real-time needs and expectations of consumers.

Dwayne M. Walker, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of ShopNow. com. Inc., will present the session. Walker has over 18 years of business and technology experience, including a long stint with Microsoft Corp., where he served as general manager of sales and marketing and also spearheaded the launch of the first two versions of SQL Server An earlier relational DBMS from Sybase and from Microsoft. Sybase introduced SQL Server in 1988 for various Unix versions. In that same year, with help from IBM, Sybase created an OS/2 version that Microsoft licensed and branded as Microsoft SQL Server.  and Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). Available in separate client and server versions, it includes built-in networking and preemptive multitasking. .
