21st Century Airships has been testing and perfecting this ball-like blimp blimp: see airship.  since the mid-1990s. How is it better than traditional blimps? The Canadian company says the round shape makes the craft easier to maneuver. A hybrid electric system turns large and slow propellers, allowing the blimp to travel at higher altitudes and for longer durations. The blimp is even designed to land on and take off from water! Like the classic models, this airship airship, an aircraft that consists of a cigar-shaped gas bag, or envelope, filled with a lighter-than-air gas to provide lift, a propulsion system, a steering mechanism, and a gondola accommodating passengers, crew, and cargo.  will be used for advertising and sightseeing.
