Experts line up for annual tall building conference.


More skyscrapers are planned for the United States than ever, despite predictions to the contrary following the 9/11 terrorist attack four years ago.

The technical, financial and political challenges builders face in taking them from the drawing boards to completion is the subject of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat's 7th World Congress in New York City New York City: see New York, city.

Its mission is to facilitate interaction among professionals interested in healthy urban environment design and tall building technology. It has over 1,400 members representing 77 countries.
