Expansion at KHS.

KHS Maschinen- und Anlagenbau AG, international manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for the beverage, food, and non-food sectors, is expanding its worldwide field of activities. Cornerstone ceremonies were recently held for a new plant in India. Modern new production facilities with a floor space of 25,000[m.sup.2] are being built in Ahmedabad on an area of 110,000[m.sup.2]. KHS has been participating in an Indo-German joint venture with KHS Machinery Pvt. since 1997 in which the Indian Mamata Group holds a 40-percent share. KHS Machinery Pvt. is one of the market leaders in the field of filling and packaging technology for the beverage sector in the Indian market. This new plant will considerably increase the production capacity in India. KHS will thus not only be taking the growth potential in this region into account but meeting the increased demand in other Asian markets as well. These markets will be supplied directly from India. In addition to several plants in Germany, KHS currently maintains production sites in the U.S.A., Mexico, Brazil, and India. The more than sixty service and sales locations on all continents maintain the outstanding quality of local service at all times.
