Expansion Decision. (Wall Street West).


Integrated Decision Systems, a Los Angeles-based software provider, received an $8.5 million dollar investment from Shelter Capital Partners, also of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , and FTVentures in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden . This was the first institutional investment raised by the company, which since 1981 has grown its client base to include many major Wall Street investment firms.

The infusion will fund Integrated Decision's new strategy. It will shift from marketing its portfolio management and accounting system to large customers -- such as Chase Manhattan's Asset Management division (part of J.P. Morgan Morgan, American family of financiers and philanthropists.
