4-6 ALL CANDY EXPO - Organised by the National Confectioners' Association, this event will take place at McCormick Place Coordinates:

McCormick Place is an enormous exposition complex located in Chicago, Illinois.
 Lakeside Centre, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Otherwise known as 'The Buyer Friendly Show', 480 exhibitors will feature in a space of 120,000 square feet, with candy, chocolate and gum on display. Highlights of this year's show will include: the opening reception to be held at the Chicago Hilton; five educational sessions, and candy plant tours for buyers.

4-6 LABELEXPO ASIA Asia (ā`zhə), the world's largest continent, 17,139,000 sq mi (44,390,000 sq km), with about 3.3 billion people, nearly three fifths of the world's total population.  2002 - This event for the labels and narrow web industry will showcase all of the leading manufacturers in the region, as well as a large contingent of Europe-based representatives. To be held at the Singapore Expo The Singapore Expo (Chinese: 新加坡博览中心) is the largest convention and exhibition venue in Singapore with 100,000 square metres of column-free, indoor space spread over 10 halls.  Centre, it is a biennial event last held in November 2000. Several new facilities will be provided at the show for the benefit of both exhibitors and visitors, including the Cyber Cafe, which will give access to PCs in order for attendees to stay in contact with the office and to have access to the internet.

), the symposium will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, during the 5th Worldwide Congress on the Processing Tomato, organised by Amitom, Siid and Fiere di Parma, The aims of the symposium will include: to present recent research results regarding sustainable production, cultivation and quality of tomatoes grown for processing and processing technology; to provide an opportunity for the exchange of information, and in close co-operation with the Congress programme, to give special attention to economic, technological and nutritional aspects of processing tomatoes. The symposium will consist of five sessions.

9-11 THE AUTHENTIC FOOD MARKET - A new event organised by Fresh RM, to be held at Birmingham's NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).

NEC was founded in Tokyo in 1899 as Nippon Electric Company, Ltd.
, will co-locate three events: The Asian Food Show; The Oriental Food Show, and New Ethnic Foods. The event has been moved to a larger hall to accommodate the increased number of companies exhibiting, with a special feature being the country pavilions, from India, Malaysia, Pakistan and Lebanon, amongst others.

10-16 NATIONAL FOOD SAFETY WEEK - The 10th annual food safety week organised by the foodlink - the Food and Drink Federation's consumer information programme - along with the Food Standards Agency The Food Standards Agency is a non-ministerial government department of the Government of the United Kingdom.
