Exent Technologies, the leader in Applications-on-Demand, announced today it has been chosen as a primary technology provider for Yahoo!'s newest premium broadband service See broadband and broadband service provider. , Yahoo! Games Yahoo! Games is the section of the Yahoo! website in which Yahoo! users can play games either with other users or by themselves. Exent Technologies' EXEtender product is the applications-on-demand software platform powering the Yahoo! Game Launcher, the critical technology engine that allows users of the service to stream PC games directly onto their desktops.

Yahoo! Games on Demand is a for-pay games service offering direct digital distribution to a huge audience and changing the way people pay for, and play games. The Yahoo! Game Launcher, the customized, branded skin for the Exent EXEtender Player, provides a seamless user experience, requiring a one-time download and client-side installation.

Once installed, the Exent EXEtender Player facilitates streaming applications and emulates the local machine environment so no further installation, rebooting, or local machine configuration is necessary.
