eXcelon Corporation (Nasdaq:EXLN) today announced a new Verity Search Engine add-on for its native XML DBMS, the eXtensible Information Server (XIS), at the XML Web Services One Conference and Expo. Customers deploying the Verity Engine for XIS can integrate the vast amount of unstructured corporate information with structured XML data that can then be leveraged and extended by applications both inside the enterprise and beyond. The Verity engine for XIS also enables customers to quickly access the abundance of valuable corporate data residing in XML documents by providing full-text indexing and high performance querying of XML documents stored in XIS.
